Illusions Of Someday Casting A Golden Light

This lace dress is almost a gothic take on festival style (and I absolutely love it!) It is such an effortless summer look that can easily go from day to night.

Since I was just wandering around the neighborhood with my husband, I wore super comfortable sandals and my favorite bucket bag from Rachel Roy. I'm obsessed with it's fringe and spike detail!
This outfit is great for super hot days spent on a patio, at a farmers market or a family bbq.
Since Toronto is feeling a heat wave, it's important that we have options that are breezy and light but also offer enough coverage for any scenario. Not matter how hot it is, you can't just pop into to your local Starbucks in a bikini! lol

As per usual, I've got my signature round sunnies on to protect my peepers. Not only are sunglasses good for light sensitive eyes (like mine) but they will also protect the thin skin around them from sun damage.

Most of my accessories are pretty basic to keep the look clean and to let the textures speak for themselves. The most eye catching elements are my sandals but since they're in the same colour family, they work nicely without being too much of a distraction from the subtle lace or the fringe on my purse.

What are you key pieces to staying cool this summer?
